Exam Strategy
Managing Exam Stress in the Final Month Before JEE/NEET
The instinct in the final month is to cram harder. The better strategy, backed by how memory and performance actually work under stress, is to consolidate rather than expand.
Protect your sleep above almost everything else. Sleep deprivation measurably degrades recall accuracy and processing speed — exactly the two things a timed exam demands most.
Shift from learning new material to active recall of what you've already studied — practice tests, flashcard-style formula recall, and re-attempting previously wrong questions build far more exam-day confidence than a new chapter would.
Keep taking full-length mock tests on a fixed weekly schedule, at the same time of day as your actual exam, to condition your focus and energy levels to match exam-day timing.
Talk to your mentors about how you're feeling, not just what you're studying — a five-minute counselling check-in can catch a spiraling worry before it costs you a week of productive revision.
